Born and raised in Wellington, Dimitri graduated in law alongside classics and religion at Victoria University, picking up a Victoria Employment Law Scholarship along the way. After university, he cut his teeth in litigation, working in both boutique and mid-size firms. Dimitri worked across a wide mix of disputes and represented clients in the High Court and District Court.
At ComplyWith, Dimitri is a Legal Consultant in the Customer Experience team. He works closely with customers to understand their operations so that the correct legal obligations can be mapped to the right roles.
Dimitri enjoys digging into how organisations really work, and working with a team that’s generous with both knowledge and support.
Outside work, Dimitri’s world revolves around football. He plays regularly with friends, proudly wears his Wellington Phoenix shirt, and hasn’t missed watching a match since 2009 – a commitment that borders on heroic.
When he’s not on the pitch or watching the Phoenix, he’s tramping local tracks, riding his motorbike, listening to history podcasts, trying out new outdoor activities (kayaking is the latest), or attempting DIY projects with YouTube as his trusted adviser. He’s also a former classical pianist and a member of the Greek Mytilenian Association of New Zealand.
When he’s not helping customers, Dimitri’s either out playing football or pulling on his Wellington Phoenix shirt to watch a match.
